Social media apps are plentiful and there are more things to consume today than we can ever consume. However, this just means that there are plenty of energy and social power available. What if we can focus this energy for good?
Given that stories inspires (why else would we share them?), Twine's goal is to convert readers into actors.
There are a lot of different types of social media: Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. All these are great because they provide a platform for your products: photography, business, thoughts, etc. A platform encourages production. Why not a platform for good?
By creating a platform to share and inspire good, people are evoked to do good. Those good in turn will inspire more. A cycle of action leads to inspiration leads to action. Twine records what inspires action: tracking impact and not just popularity.
Of course, people exist outside of apps and phones. We want to empower people to do good—whether it be in app, or out of app. Twine acts as both a platform to provide good, and as a platform to provide community to share and promote good.
Most importantly, good and hope always occur twice: upon giving and upon receiving. Each time it inspires others; thus, everyone can share their story. We believe that we are loudest when everyone, givers and receivers, has a voice.
But, in sharing and reading each other's story, we can slowly improve society together by cultivating our natural disposition.
Twine is a social network where people share good things that happens—either to or from them.
Through stories, people can relate. Whether it be kudos, comments, time, objects, money, or even some good it inspires you to do, Twine empowers people to band together.
Good begets good. People can support the support ad infinitum.
Those who are helped can then pass it forward and improve more lifes.
We should never be alone in our endeavor. Your story, is part of a community's book. We know everyone wants to be part of one (#socialmediaboom), why not a community of good.
